Membership Information

Are you interested in South Holland Chorale membership? We invite you to join one of the premier singing ensembles of the Chicago Southland. Known for many years throughout the Chicago South Suburban and Northwest Indiana region as the South Suburban Chorale, the South Holland Master Chorale still provides the area with the finest in choral literature performance. Membership is open without audition to anyone interested in performing great choral masterworks.

If you’d like to attend one of our rehearsals to get a feel for the group, we rehearse on Mondays at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary of St. John Neumann Parish (formally St. Joseph Catholic Church), 17951 Dixie Highway, Homewood, IL 60430. Feel free to join us for a “trial run!”

South Holland Master Chorale is a premier choral group, under the direction of Philip J. Bauman, that performs classical concerts throughout the Chicago Southern Suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We have over 100 members and are recognized for our notable performances including Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Mozart’s Grand Mass in C minor, Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise, and most recently the Mozart Requiem, Bernstein’s Mass, and the concert version of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with the Illinois Philharmonic.
